What opportunities will this course give me?
You can continue on this class throughout the year. It may be possible to join the group in the Spring and Summer term if there is a place available and you are at the correct level.
What will I be learning?
The course aims to build on previous knowledge, improve technique and timing and increase repertoire. It is mainly practical with some music theory.
Please note there is no formal examination or Grading Certification on course completion however a College Certificate will be awarded on request.
Why is this course for me?
You will use pianos and keyboards in class with guidance from the tutor. You will be taught in a group with a maximum of 4 students and work individually in practice rooms. Practice between lessons will aid your progress throughout the course.
What do I need to sign up?
This is an Improvers (Stage 2) course; therefore this course is suitable for students who have completed a 1 year Beginners course at Eastleigh College or who have a minimum of 1 year of piano experience.
Is there anything else I need to know?
This course is suitable for students who have previous experience of the piano (approximately 1 years experience) Please select the level appropriate to your experience.
Piano tutor book: learners may purchase their own copy if they wish (approximately £10) but material will be provided.
Please bring a notebook/paper and pencil to the class, along with an example of previous music played (if available).
