What do I need to sign up?

Is there anything else I need to know?
This course is suitable for anyone interested in arranging flowers, using seasonal materials and will be suitable for both beginners and those wishing to develop their floral knowledge and skills further.
Learners will be notified approximately 7-10 days before the course start date what items will be required for the first week and the design which will be demonstrated.
Some materials will be provided for your course. However, you will need to bring in some materials to make your designs, e.g. flowers, foliage, containers, etc. Economy is always encouraged. You may use a range of materials - fresh artificial and preserved. A basic floristry toolbox will be required consisting of multipurpose floristry scissors, Sellotape and dispenser, a bucket, apron, and stapler. The tutor will discuss this with you at the first class.
The cost of materials/flowers each week will be approximately £15 to £20. However, the tutor does encourage learners to bring foliage from their own garden to keep the cost down and some weeks the floral displays can be deconstructed if you wish and the materials used again the following week. All additional costs are at the learner's discretion.
We would recommend that you purchase your flowers for the first session a few days in advance and from a local florist. You will then gain the experience of choosing from a more comprehensive range, and where single stem items are usually available at a competitive price. Once you have started the course, your tutor would be happy to recommend local wholesalers who will supply direct to the general public.
