This is a workshop where using drawing is the key. Youll learn the specialist skills needed to work with print based material under the guidance of a qualified tutor.
The programme offers a fun and inspiring way to develop a much-loved hobby or kick-start a new one. Youll be learning alongside other engaged and enthusiastic students.

What will I be learning?
Mono print is one of the most basic forms of printmaking but with the additional techniques of press print and letter block printing, you can begin to develop an exciting set of print-based works.
You will be shown how you can make a range of marks that can then be applied to your personal mono print work. You could design your own print illustrations or handmade cards with this technique.
Why is this course for me?
The workshop is run on the mentality of learning by doing, and so its perfect for learners who prefer a practical approach to their studies. You will have the space to be creative and learn new skills.
Skills are taught through demonstrations, discussions, observation and practice.
How will my learning be enhanced?
Whilst you will not gain a professional qualification on this workshop, this is a great introduction to the world of mono/press and letter block printing.
You will have the opportunity to explore and be creative with your materials, learning in an environment with other enthusiastic and like-minded individuals.
An Eastleigh College certificate will be awarded on successful completion of the course.

There are no formal entry requirements in respect of this workshop. All beginners or those learners with some knowledge most welcome.

All materials are provided on the workshop and there are no additional costs anticipated.
