The main proportion of the course will cover various royal icing piping skills and these skills will be used to make different cake projects.
A college certificate will be awarded on request.
Why is this course for me?
If you're keen to grow your royal icing skills - from simple piping to more complex designs - then this is the course for you.
The course will run during the Autumn term only, and you will be creating a range of pieces throughout your lessons, combining them together for a Christmas project in the final part of the term. This will give you the chance to tap into different skills and methods before bringing together the individual elements on one ''showstopper'' piece.
The course is run on the mentality of learning by doing, and so it's perfect for people who prefer a practical approach to their studies. You'll leave the course having reignited your passion for the delicate art of cake design.
How will my learning be enhanced?
The programme tutor, Frances Jackson, was trained by the industry leading expert Eddie Spence MBE. Her royal icing and design skills are second to none, and so you can be excited for a truly exceptional experience.
What do I need to sign up?
