What will I be learning?
This course will give a thorough overview of the principles and elements of interior design.
It will help you to develop your own style preferences and stimulate your creativity in the world of interiors. You will come away with a greater understanding of design styles and gain confidence when designing any space. You will also learn the techniques of visual communication through the medium of mood boards and sample boards.
This is a fun, creative and interactive course that will set you in the right direction, for any up and coming home project either for yourself or for family and friends. The course will also give you a very solid foundation of understanding if you are aspiring to pursue a future career in interior design.
Why is this course for me?
You will learn from a mixture of theory and practical work, but the course will be essentially practical with as much 'hands on' as is possible.
An Eastleigh College certificate is awarded on successful completion of the course.

The course does not have any professional accreditation, however the learning and support you gain throughout your time on the course will be transformative for your onward journey.
What do I need to sign up?
There are no formal entry requirement for this course; the course is is suitable for those who are looking to learn more about the world of Interior Design.
Is there anything else I need to know?
Although full notes and handouts will be provided at the end of each session, you may wish to have a pen and paper handy for the class, along with a small/A4 sized sketch book.
Learners are responsible the purchase of any additional materials required for the course. No additional costs are anticipated.
