What will I be learning?
This textile based process involves the use of disperse dyes painted onto paper, and then using heat to transfer the images onto fabric. The techniques and applications can be widely applied and you will have the opportunity to explore a range of methods to apply the image from wax resist, collage, block printing, to directly painting onto the surface.
The results are quite striking and you will have a number of samples to take away with you, which could be added to, for example T-shirts, jeans, or fabric bags to individualise your own items.
Why is this course for me?
The course is run on the mentality of learning by doing, and so its perfect for learners who prefer a practical approach to their studies. You will have the space to be creative and learn new skills.
