What opportunities will this course give me?
Do you love art and being creative with different materials? Then come and join our weekly Tuesday Art Club, specifically designed for adults with mild to moderate learning disabilities.
This is a leisure course designed to be fun and engaging. Whilst there is no official progression, learners are welcome to re-enrol on to this course or try one of our other Adult Enrichment courses.
What will I be learning?
This hands on course will allow you to create your own pieces of art using a variety of materials and techniques. We will look at lots of different topics and styles to create amazing pieces of art. This may include working in nature, creating pieces from recycled materials, and being inspired by the world around us.
You will use different media and materials, try a variety of art techniques and methods and study how other artists have explored this topic. Each week you will create your own art work and record your development and ideas in a sketchbook. This creative class will also help you further develop your social skills including speech, listening and creative thinking.
This is a leisure course so there will be no assessment or qualification. An Eastleigh College certificate will be issued on completion.
