What opportunities will this course give me?
Do you enjoy learning new dance moves and keeping fit whilst listening to your favourite music? Come and join our Fitness and Dance classes, specifically tailored for adults with mild to moderate learning disabilities.
This is a leisure course designed to be fun and engaging. Whilst the is no official progression, learners are welcome to re-enrol on to this course or try one of our other Adult Enrichment Courses.
What will I be learning?
Whilst listening to different styles of music, you will be taught dance moves and exercises that will help strengthen muscles, improve your fitness, aid your mobility but most importantly, that you will enjoy! Regardless of ability or experience this fun and energetic class is suitable for all levels and abilities and is a great way to express yourself with others who also have a passion for dancing.
Why is this course for me?
You will be taught in small groups by experienced teachers. Our classes are designed to be fun and interactive but learners are encouraged to participate at whatever level is appropriate to their ability.
How will my learning be enhanced?
You will be supported by a qualified dance tutor who will help you to get the most out of your sessions in a fun and relaxed way.
Your tutor will be both friendly and accommodating, ensuring your experience on the course is stimulating and stress-free.
What do I need to sign up?
Our friendly Adult Community Learning team will be in contact once we have received your application so we can assess your suitability for the course.
This course is part of our Adult Enrichment Programme which is designed to offer a range of opportunities for adults with mild to moderate learning disabilities. Is there anything else I need to know?
No additional resources are required for this class. Learners should attend wearing clothing and shoes suitable for moving around in.
Everything you need for the course is included in the course fee. There are no additional costs involved.
