What opportunities will this course give me?
This is a leisure course designed to be fun and engaging, and specifically tailored for people with mild to moderate learning disabilities. Whilst there is no official progression, learners are welcome to try one of our other Adult Enrichment courses or workshops.
Eastleigh College offer a variety of leisure courses to suit all interests - please browse the website for further details.
What will I be learning?
This hands on course will allow you to create your own Christmas wreath ready for the festive season.
You will be shown how to create a festive wreath made from fresh moss and natural leaves/twigs. You will be able to decorate your design using a selection of Christmas foliage and other items such as fir cones, orange slices and cinnamon sticks, as well as creating a beautiful bow, ready for hanging.
This is a leisure workshop so there will be no assessment or qualification.
You will learn through demonstration, discussions, observation and practice.
Why is this course for me?
This is a great way to try something new as a taster session. You will be taught in a small group led by an experienced floristry teacher. Our classes are designed to be hands on and interactive.
There will be plenty of opportunity to explore and be creative with your materials, learning in an environment with other enthusiastic and like-minded individuals.
How will my learning be enhanced?
Your tutor will help you to design and produce a Christmas wreath which you can take home at the end of the session.
Your tutor will be both friendly and accommodating, ensuring your experience on the course is stimulating and stress-free.
