Carpentry students nail it for local charity
Carpentry and joinery students from Eastleigh College have helped to save a local charity £12,000 by putting their skills to good use carrying out out essential maintenance and decorating.
Eastleigh College Refrigeration and Air Conditioning students are the first in the country to benefit from high-end equipment, kindly donated by Blue Diamond Pump.
Thanks to Blue Diamond Pump, students at Eastleigh College will continue to train with excellent industry-standard equipment to enhance their skills and knowledge preparing them for their future career. The company’s high-end condensate pumps which are fitted with the latest technology, will give students confidence in using, fitting and fixing the equipment.
Gianpaolo Ruvolo, UK and European Sales Executive at Blue Diamond Pump, highlights the importance of supporting the next generation of engineers, “Students are working through the ranks and we’re keen to support local colleges and offer our products for them to train with and establish their knowledge.” Students will also benefit from testing and trying refrigeration and air conditioning equipment when they’re launched, increasing their knowledge of the latest products in the industry.

Eastleigh College learners undertaking various part-time leisure courses have the opportunity to display their work at a local exhibition.
