KNOWHOW employees are awarded for their achievements
In partnership with Eastleigh College, KNOWHOW recently celebrated the success of its employees who have trained through the College’s state-of-the-art Gas Assessment Centre.
KNOWHOW employees come to train at Eastleigh College to gain a Level 3 Diploma in Gas Utilisation, which covers a range of different areas from cookers and tumble driers to leisure appliances. Participants travel from all over the UK to be part of the training programme.
Recognising the benefit of this new-found expertise, KNOWHOW holds an awards event at Eastleigh College several times a year to celebrate the success of its employees and their commitment to the trade.
This year Steve Gibb, Director for KNOWHOW Home Services and Logistics, presented a group of employees with their certificates, and also awarded two students with prestigious trophies for ‘Most Improved Trainee’ and ‘Trainee of the Year’. Steve said, "I recently had the absolute pleasure of attending Eastleigh College to recognise and celebrate the completion of the training course for our Gas Installer trainees. I was delighted and proud to hand out the certificates and the awards for trainee of the year and the most improved trainee, the College has been absolutely fantastic in getting our colleagues to a high standard of which they can soon use to give a great service to our customers."
Commenting on the celebration event, Paul Smoker, Technical and Installation Manager at KNOWHOW said "It was superb to recognise the achievement of our latest group of Gas Trainees. In partnership with the Eastleigh Gas Assessment Centre Team, we offer two awards: Trainee of the Year and Most Improved Trainee - selection of the worthy winners is entirely based on performance at college. This course has again made the selection very challenging, with some exceptional performances and results throughout the course."
"It is always fantastic to observe the development of the trainees from the Induction Day through to Graduation. Without exception all the trainees are keen to complete their Knowhow Experience Portfolios, achieve Knowhow Gas Safe Registration and start exercising their new found Gas professional skills - another successful partnership between Eastleigh College and KNOWHOW."
