Eastleigh College has moved to online learning, as such campuses are closed to the vast majority of learners. The College remains open (including over the Easter holiday period) for 16-18 learners of key workers, and those learners with an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP). However, for both categories, learners are asked to stay at home where it is safe to do so. Consistent with public health advice, learners and staff are asked to follow public health guidance and the steps outlined via the 'read more' button.
This year we are excited to welcome over 750 new students to the College, which meant our corridors were bustling this week full of classes visiting our Fresher’s Fair!
Among stacks of free Dominoes pizza and candy floss, we had exhibitors from the NHS, Solent Go, No Limits, Young Epilepsy, Subway, NCS and more. Some students even took the opportunity to kit-up in a Sumo Suit and see which of their friends they could beat.
We also welcomed the University of Winchester, the University of Southampton and Southampton Solent University, who spoke to our students about the undergraduate degrees they could progress on to.
We’ve had lots of brilliant entries into our photo competition – keep posting your photos to Instagram with the hashtag #eastleighfreshers, as next week we will be picking a winner at random who will receive a brand new iPad mini!
