We are recruiting for an ambitious, professional, resilient and respectful:

Trainer in Health and Social Care

Salary of up to £28,878 per annum/pro rata, up to £35,716 per annum/pro rata if accessing full flexible pay options.

Sessional Hours – Fixed Term Contract

  • Provide training and assessment in appropriate disciplines to a range of learners on their selected programme.
  • Be responsible for a case load of candidates ensuring timely completion within agreed timescales with learners.
  • Support the tracking and recording of the vocational progress of learners on a regular basis and organise formal reviews between learner and employer in line with individual learning plan.
  • To develop and implement timely, safe, consistent and relevant assessments, assessment plans and resources that are linked to initial and current assessments.


  • Highly motivated Health and Social Care professional with a range of industry experience.
  • Either teaching/mentoring experience or have supported apprentices in the work place.
  • Well organised and hold an excellent range of communication skills.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft IT packages.


  • Minimum GCSE grade 4 / C in English & Maths or equivalent.
  • Relevant subject qualification at level 5 in Health and/or Social Care or equivalent.
  • IQA award desirable.
  • Willingness to work towards teaching qualification / or to hold a teaching qualification.
