Job Title: SEN Advisor and Support Co-Ordinator 

Salary: £24,504 per annum

Hours: Full Time

Start Date: ASAP

Closing Date: 13th September 2020

 

A day in the life of…..

As SEN Advisor and Support Co-ordinator, you will work under the guidance of the College SENCo to help coordinate an effective and efficient service to students and staff of the college.  You will be responsible for ensuring the college meets the needs of students who have an Education Health and Care Plan (EHCP), assess the needs of perspective students to ensure the college can meet their needs on one of our college courses, and provide advice and support to students, staff and external professionals on the needs of students with additional needs.

On a daily basis you will be responsible for liaising with students, staff and external stakeholders, processing and implementing exam access arrangements, working closely with tutors to ensure appropriate levels of support are in place for all EHCP students, providing advice and training to Eastleigh College staff, liaising with the Local Authority to arrange transport for identified SEN learners, and dealing with general enquires. 

 

Qualifications required:

Ideally qualified to level 3 with English and Maths at level 2, with experience of working in a dynamic office environment and an in-depth knowledge of special educational needs.
