Online Trainer in Environmental Sustainability

Salary:  Potential to earn up to £48,000FTE gross through sector leading terms and conditions

Hours: Flexible and based on a sessional contract

Start date: ASAP due to constant growth and demand

A day in the life of…..

To deliver the highest quality of online training through Eastleigh College Online to individuals and our employer partners. Online training is expected to be delivered in line with the College values of ambition, professionalism, resilience and respect, whilst also ensuring that the requirements of funding and awarding bodies are met at all times.

Each Online Trainer assists in the recruitment, selection and admission and education of learners who apply and enrol through Eastleigh College Online. This is achieved by identifying suitable online learning programmes for learners and providing appropriate information, advice and guidance for the qualification.

Online trainers will have an expert understanding of the schemes of work, and adapt learning materials and assessment plans to meet the needs of learners. Resources are accessed through Eastleigh College Online through which trainers access workloads and provide high quality developmental feedback to every learner. Trainers liaise with multiple learners, internal quality assurance, and administration teams to ensure the professional delivery of the College’s online programmes and to ensure that customer service are expectations are met at all times.

Postholders have access to the many developmental opportunities through the College. The anticipated minimum caseload of 20 (approx. 80 learners per year).

Skills/experience required:

To have assessing experience within a relevant sector, with an ability to use IT for online training for a diverse range of learners. Knowledge of Microsoft IT packages. Ability to effectively manage your own time to meet the requirements of the post.

Courses to Include:

TQUK Level 2 Certificate in Understanding Environmental Sustainability (RQF)

  • Unit 1: Principles of sustainable development
  • Unit 2: Principles of sustainable communities
  • Unit 3: Principles of sustainable energy management
  • Unit 4: Social responsibility of businesses in relation to sustainability
  • Unit 5: Principles of waste management
  • Unit 6: Principles of sustainable transport
  • Unit 7: Sustainability applied in own setting

Qualifications required:

  • Relevant industry/sector qualification.
  • Minimum level 2 literacy & numeracy.
  • Assessor award (A1 or equivalent).
  • Level 3 teaching qualification.

Ideal attributes of applicant:

Comfortable talking and engaging with a wide variety of learners, highly organised and a high attention to detail, keen interest in developing online learning.
