LECTURER IN MECHANICAL ENGINEERING
Salary: Up to £34,571 per annum
Hours: 37 per week

The College is seeking to appoint a full-time Lecturer in Engineering to work in our innovative and well-resourced Technology Faculty.
You will need to be qualified in a relevant Engineering discipline to at least HNC or equivalent. You will be well organised, with a positive approach to passing on your skills and knowledge to others. You will need to be able to work effectively in a team and to lead innovation within the learning environment. Ideally you will have experience of both teaching and workplace training.
You will be expected to teach on programmes ranging from Full Time learners at levels 2 and 3 to HNC and Apprentices, including mathematics to level 4. The post will require you to deliver theory and practical subjects in the classroom and workshop environments.
Ideally you will have experience in a manufacturing environment and be able to demonstrate an understanding of production processes including 2D/3D Computer Aided Design.
Experience of modern, effective working practices is essential and experience of training learners in an educational environment would be an advantage.
Assessor (TAQA / A1 / V1) and teacher training qualifications (such as Award in Education and Training / PTLLS / CTLLS / DTLLS / Cert Ed) are desirable and training may be provided for the right candidate.
