Engineering & Refrigeration Trainer

Salary: £22,484 – 23,811 (dependent on qualifications and experience)

Hours: 37 per week, 52 weeks a year


Start date: 1st September 2021

A day in the life of…..

You will prepare workshop spaces for refrigeration and engineering ensuring an environment suitable for learning for apprentices and full time learners alike. You will need to monitor stores and order in a timely fashion to ensure learning is not interrupted. You will support assessments for refrigeration learners and be able to safely use a range of heat producing equipment and refrigerants in a commercial environment. You should also be able to effectively problem solve and provide support for end point assessment within our brand new EPA centre.

Skills/experience required:

An understanding of materials used in refrigeration and engineering including machinery although training will be given in certain circumstances. Use of spreadsheets to monitor spending in area and ability to work with managers, lecturers and students alike

Qualifications required:

F Gas qualification, use of lathes and milling equipment is advantageous.

Ideal attributes of applicant:

Proactive problem solver, motivated to provide a service to staff and learners alike with an ability to carry out assessments when supporting tutors
