Salary: Up to £34,917 per annum (dependent on qualifications & experience)

A day in the life of…..
Working with a diverse group of learners to engage them in an industry with so many opportunities showing them how they can impact lives in a number of ways. Asking those learners intriguing questions and helping them to find solutions to different problems in engineering, learning the minute details of production of items using different machinery and methods including 3D printing, CNC machining, turning, grinding and milling as well as hand tools to industry standards. Supporting learners in a pastoral role with support from other areas to ensure a successful time in college and as they move into their working lives.
- Examples could include: working with young people, experience of working in a particular industry, knowledge of Microsoft IT packages, teaching in a particular area/industry
- Please list:
- Machinery skills in an engineering workshop environment.
- Understanding of the broader industry and roles available.
- An ability to use most applications of Microsoft office effectively.
- A desire to enthuse young minds
- A completed engineering apprenticeship with time spent in a machine shop
- Maths and English grade C or equivalent qualification at Level 2
Ideal attributes of applicant:
An enthusiastic attitude to engineering, an ability to adapt to different environments and engage learners in these activities. A desire to support an industry with new recruits
