Eastleigh College is proud to have received 11 Outstanding and 83 Good judgements in its most recent OFSTED report in May 2006, in the areas of Effectiveness of provision, Achievements and standards, Quality of provision, Leadership and management and Capacity to improve.
In particular Ofsted identified the following key strengths:
- The College's response to meeting the needs and interests of learners is outstanding
- The range of provision, for the learners that the College recruits, is outstanding with very good progression routes
- High standards of achievement and success
- Learners enjoy lessons, work positively and produce good standards of work
- Individual learning needs are assessed thoroughly and are well catered for
- Schemes of work and lesson plans are clear and well structured to ensure that the individual needs of learners are met and that they can make appropriate progress
- Guidance and support for learners is good

Learning & Skills Beacon
Eastleigh College was awarded Learning and Skills Beacon status in February 2005. This prestigious award celebrates learning providers that deliver outstanding teaching and learning and are well led and managed and provides public recognition of the excellence and innovation which exists within the Learning and Skills sector.
Matrix
The College was accredited with the Matrix standard in February 2004. This is the national quality standard for organizations that deliver information, advice and/or guidance on learning and work. The accreditation process looks at how the service is delivered and managed.
Investors in Diversity
Eastleigh College is working towards Investors in Diversity. The Investors in Diversity Award is more than just a prestigious quality mark. It is a whole new all-encompassing approach to managing Equality and Diversity. It enables the College to take a structured, planned approach to deal with this area of work. Investors in Diversity provides a framework under which the College can bring together work in Equality and Diversity. The IiD Award enables the College to identify, articulate and communicate the case for embracing Equality and Diversity, and enable this work to be aligned with the College’s goals. The Award will help the College to create, develop and embed a culture of equality, diversity and inclusion in all daily activities.
