If you have the determination to do well in the world of work and would like to study at the same time, then an Apprenticeship could be for you.
What is an Apprenticeship?
Apprenticeships are high quality, work-based training programmes, now available for those of all ages who want to develop their prospects and career and who are not taking part in full-time education.
What will I learn?
What you learn in your Apprenticeship or Advanced Apprenticeship will vary, but typically includes:
- Practical experience, skills and knowledge from working in your chosen type of employment
- Work based practical qualification
- Apprentices are required to undertake functional skills in English, Maths and sometimes ICT
- Under-pinning knowledge, often referred to as a Diploma
- Any extra qualifications or requirements that are important for your chosen occupation
