Students perform Peter Pan

Eastleigh College Performing Arts and Dance students put on a spectacular theatrical display in the run up to Christmas with their original interpretation of Peter Pan.

The quirky script was a modern twist on the original story, and the tale began with Wendy's family facing the loss of their house due to the credit crunch. Humorous highlights included Captain Hook's pirates dancing to Michael Jackson's 'Bad' as well as pondering over online dating profiles, and an appearance by King Neptune and his underwater cronies.

All the students did a professional job of portraying their characters whilst adding a healthy touch of fun to the performance. Kirby Sharp and Jack Fox particularly shone with their portrayals of Captain Hook and Peter Pan.

The show was littered with a range of group dances, choreographed to create fantastic visual impact and keep the audience thoroughly entertained. The show ran for two nights with a sell out performance, and was well received by both audiences.
