Take control of your learning and working life today
Eastleigh College has been selected to take part in the first launch phase of the Learning Skills Council (LSC) Skills Accounts in the South East region and they will be rolled out nationally from 2011.
Skills Accounts have been developed to allow learners aged 19 or over, access to a bespoke careers advice service. By opening a Skills Account, learners will have access to:
• A personalised careers advice service - providing students with information, advice and guidance
• Skills Account Voucher - which details eligibility for Government funding towards the cost of a course
• Secure Record of Learning - allowing learners to see how their skills and qualifications have developed via an online account
By understanding the different options available, learners are given a greater sense of ownership over their learning and working life.
Matthew Phelps, Head of Workforce & Business Development at the College, said, "Opening a Skills Account is a great way for learners to access a range of information and resources, all in one place, to help them with their future".
You can be one of the first to open your Skills Account via the online portal at www.direct.gov.uk/skillsaccounts. Alternatively contact us today on 023 8091 1219 for help and advice on opening your Skills Account and the best way to manage it.
