


Eastleigh College students and staff worked hard last week to raise money for BBC Children in Need 2008, culminating in a total of nearly £600 raised towards the appeal.
Beauty Therapy students and staff, dressed in their pyjamas undertook a variety of charity activities across the week including offering head and shoulder massages to College staff, raising over £384 for the charity.
Meanwhile staff from across the college dressed to impress, including the additional learning support team who became The Mob, while curriculum administration donned the outfits of Von Trap Family Singers from the legendary movie The Sound of Music, together collecting nearly £200 in loose change!
Wendy Foreman, curriculum administration manager at the College said "it's great that students and staff have done something in a small way to contribute in helping disadvantaged children in the UK, while having fun and raising awareness of the appeal".
The BBC Children in Needs mission is to positively change the lives of disadvantaged children and young people in the UK. Eastleigh College mirrors their vision of a society where each and every child and young person is supported to realise their potential.
