As part of the Get Set network of schools and colleges, Eastleigh College is committed to promoting the Olympic Values (Friendship, Excellence, Respect) and the Paralympic Values (Inspiration, Determination, Courage, Equality).
With the forthcoming Olympic Games in 2012, College students will be encouraged to participate in Value-based projects and activities.
College students are recommended to keep a record of their
activities, and how they have demonstrated a specific Value. Those
who demonstrate all 7 Values will be entered into a prize draw for
the chance to win various Olympic-based clothing and memorabilia
prizes.
Other activities are scheduled throughout the year including the
following:
- Tutorials based upon on the Olympic and Paralympic Values
- Themed weeks based on the Olympic and Paralypic Values
- Planned trip to the Olympic Park
- Demonstration of the Olympic Values through the Olympic Passport scheme
- Leadership Programmes
