Eastleigh College students organised a charity cake sale and raffle in aid of Help for Heroes. The event was held at the College by Business Administration Level 2 students and was organised as part of their course. The students made homemade cakes and contacted local companies, managing to secure a donation of 48 cakes from Asda!
Julie Clayton, Business Administration course tutor, said:
"The students worked as a team and all contributed to make this event a great success, raising a total of £380 for their chosen charity, Help for Heroes, and we are very proud of their achievement."
When asked why they chose to raise money for Help For Heroes, student Kiera Loader said:
"People associate the name with helping people with physical wounds, and don't realise the work they do to also help with mental trauma. It's a cause I feel strongly about."
