Skills for Life
Good reading, writing and speaking skills are really important in everyday life and in the workplace. If you don't yet have a GCSE, Grade C or above, in Maths and/or English, then the Skills for Life courses at Eastleigh College can help you reach this goal.
How can I benefit from skills for life?
Achieving a good level of reading and writing has the following benefits:
- Valued by employers - employers are more likely to employ you if you have a good standard of written and spoken English
- Gateway to further study - If you want to improve your career prospects by studying further or higher education, you will need GCSE level Maths and English
- Everyday life - Activities such as form filling, or working out your weekly budget are made so much easier when you have skills for life
All new Skills for Life students are invited to attend a
pre-enrolment interview and brief assessment to ensure you are
placed on the course that's the right level for you. To make an
appointment, or to find out more, call 023 8091 1299 or pop in to
the main campus reception for a chat.
