Who is the course suitable for?

Anyone wishing to go into the work place in an administrative capacity. This is usually those who wish to retrain and return to the work place following a period of absence; this is often graduates, or those with A Levels.

What will I learn, how will I be assessed and what qualifications will I achieve?

This is a Level 3 programme of 5 hours per week in college. Students study Business Administration (2 hours), and English for Business (1 hour) on a Monday, and can then choose an appropriate ICT course from any suitable course running during the week (The course may therefore finish at 1300 hours on Monday if your ICT course is at a different time during the week). LCCI Certificates for Business Administration (Level 3), and English for Business (Level 2) plus the chosen ICT qualification (eg OCR Clait or Clait Plus or BCS European Computer Driving Licence). The LCCI qualifications will involve theory and practical work, whilst the ICT qualification is mostly of a practical nature. A selection of up-to-date qualifications which employers respect and will get you back into the workplace. Improved confidence, new friends and a challenge.

How will the course be taught?

The LCCI qualifications will involve theory and practical work, whilst the ICT qualification is mostly of a practical nature.

What are the career/progression opportunities?

Usually students go straight into the workplace as the course is very vocational. Occasionally students will be able to take a further course at a higher level, depending on future job roles.

What additional resources are required and what should I bring to the first class?

Pen and notebook.

Are there any other costs involved?

No, although you may wish to buy some books.
