Independent study
You will find life at Eastleigh College is very different to life at school. You will be encouraged to be independent and take more responsibility for your own learning. Your courses will involve significant independent study to support the practical and classroom based teaching time.
Extracurricular activities
Outside of study time, you will be involved in a range of extracurricular activities to ensure your time at College is enjoyable and maintains a good balance between work and play. Check out the full programme of activities on offer here: eXtra@Eastleigh
Have Your Say
Each term, The Student Council meet up to discuss issues affecting students at the College. Proposed changes are also presented to the Council for consultation. Students who are unable to attend the meetings will be kept up to date with posters, newsletters, email and digital signage.
The Student Executive is a group of students who attend monthly meetings with the Director of Teaching and Learning, the Student Liaison Officer, the Customer Services Support Manager and the Clerk to the Governors. The Student Executive is able to give a greater contribution to in depth consultation about the College and its students. All students are invited to apply to be part of the Student Executive.
Two students annually are elected to be Student Governors at the College. The role of Student Governors is to represent the student body at the Board of Governors. You can find out more about Eastleigh College Governors and Governance on this site.
