Student Enrichment
As an Eastleigh College student, you will have access to enrichment activities. These will comprise of course based enrichment that may include additional vocational qualifications, trips and visits, as well as qualifications that support the development of personal, social and employability skills.
Student Fayre
A Student Fayre takes place at the start of the each academic year and includes a barbeque, a range of fun activities and events, and provides students with the opportunity to find out more about the College, Higher Education, voluntary work and meet the other students.
College Trips and Visits
Throughout the year the College will run a number of trips, events and activities. Recent activities have included a residential visit to Spain, day trips to Alton Towers, Thorpe Park, the Clothes Show Live and theatre visits. These will be promoted throughout the year and will be available to students from across the College.
Work Related Experience
As a vocational college we aim to provide students with as much experience of their chosen vocational area as possible. This may include work placements, guest speakers, trips, visits, competitions, coursework, and activities based in the College's real life work environments.

Each course will have at least two nominated student representatives who will attend Student Council meetings each term to discuss college issues and contribute to college developments. Nominated Council members will also attend the monthly Student Executive meetings to discuss strategic developments at the College. Training for the Student Executive will take place at the start of the academic year.
Active Lifestyle
Students can access the Fitness Suite upon completion of an induction, allowing them to work on personal health and fitness. Various sports and active lifestyle activities will be promoted throughout the year.
Gifted & Talented Programme
Eastleigh College supports the development of gifted and talented learners. Gifted applies to academic ability, talented refers to a specific aptitude, for example a sport, music, art or excellence in a vocational pathway. Provision for gifted and talented learners will include:

NUS
All students will be entitled to join the National Union of Students (NUS), one of the largest organisations in the world. It represents 5 million students in Further and Higher Education throughout the UK. The NUS provides research, representation, training and expert advice for students.
Work Skills
In order to support student progression the BTEC Award in Work Skills is undertaken by all full-time students this is an additional complementary qualification that develops essential employability skills and supports progression opportunities. This qualification develops research skills, preparing applications, developing interview skills as well as developing self reflection and review.
